Southwest Patrol Community Service in Action

This past weekend, four officers assigned to our Southwest Patrol Station night shift saw four people sleeping behind a business.  Upon investigating, the officers found two adult women and their two young children, ages 6 and 7.  The women said they lost their homes during Hurricane Harvey and had no place to stay.

Officers Taylor, Ramos, Tsai and Matthew (pictured left to right) drove the women and children to a nearby hotel, pooled their money and paid for the families to get a room for a few nights to get them to a safe haven. We thank these officers for their compassion and willingness to help our fellow citizens in need #communitypolicing
