City of Houston Pools and HPD PAL


Mayor Sylvester Turner along with HPD Chief Art Acevedo and Houston Parks and Recreation Department announced a new partnership to engage Houston's youth. HPD's Police Activities League (PAL) will take an active role in providing impactful recreation, sports, and enrichment opportunities for youth in Houston parks this summer.

HPD Mounted Patrol was proud to take part in the 2018 Texas Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony on Monday, May 7th at the State Capitol in Austin. We remember all the officers killed in the line of duty including HPD Sgt. Steve Perez, who was killed during Hurricane Harvey.

Running in Clear Lake

 It’s been 20 days since I last ran so I was happy that I made it out to @bayarearunningclub’s social run at @explorationgreen Saturday morning. I walked 2 miles with a friend on the new path, then worked the @npsotclearlake plant sale. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the flowers are incredible! And I met some friendly officers from @houstonpolice! #teamtrot #springintotrot #nuunlife #runtheyear2018 

Officers Travel to Honor Fallen Round Rock Officer Charles Whites


HPD was honored to send a contingent of officers to fallen @roundrockpolice Officer Charles Whites, who succumbed to his injuries after being struck by a vehicle. EOW 4/27/18 ... R.I.P., sir. We got the watch.

Blue Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church


This past weekend, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church held a Blue Mass as a thank you to Law Enforcement, Firefighters, First Responders and Public Safety Officers who work in the community. The HPD Honor Guard was present, as well as Law Enforcement static displays. Many thanks to the wonderful community we serve!

Memorial for Dallas Police Officer Rogelio Santander



 A contingent of our officers headed to Rockwell, TX early this morning to pay respects to fallen Dallas Police Department Officer Rogelio Santander. He was killed on April 24, 2018 when responding to a shoplifting call. RIP, sir. We got the watch.
